I called LifeChoices because I needed a pregnancy test. When I went in for the appointment, I told my counselor that I wasn't sure how I could afford a baby. I worked hard but money was tight and I wanted information about abortion procedures.

My LifeChoices counselor, Andrea, carefully discussed the abortion procedures and risks and also told me about the baby's development. She showed me photos of a 6-8 week unborn baby, and explained how our baby was growing. This surprised me! I did not think it would "be a baby yet." Even so, I was undecided on what to do. My counselor also helped me by scheduling an appointment for an ultrasound.

The ultrasound was amazing! I could see the baby's heart beating! I decided that I would see the pregnancy through to the end. I was so happy and couldn't believe what I saw on that ultrasound screen. Life as a mom can be hard sometimes, but now I have a beautiful baby boy that I love so much. I can't imagine not having him.
